I am available for commissions of any scale. I am based in Shropshire; however, I am not tied to the studio and would be very happy to travel and work on larger sculptures on site if required. Please feel free to get in touch.
Carved Oak Bedhead
Traditionally carved and polished to a high lustre, this King size, French style bedhead was commissioned using the finest oak. It showcases a caned rattan back, fluted columns, reeded top and rose flower embellishments.
Fading Reverence
Intricately carved from local oak, what appears to be a medieval religious panel or reredos depicting saints and martyrs who were once revered, is in fact a disparate selection of 21st Century well known public figures. Close inspection will reveal a series of humorous vignettes.
Kettle Chips
Lime wood crisp packet for Kettle’s ‘Lovingly Crafted’ press advertising campaign. The campaign featured work by the UK’s finest craftspeople. Sea salt & balsamic vinegar was sculpted from ceramic, lime & black pepper was blown from glass and mature cheddar & red onion was carved from wood by Andrew. The striking finished works communicated the craft, care and attention that go into making Kettle Chips. The ads featured in newspapers and lifestyle magazines, including Delicious, Olive, The Guardian, The Times and The Telegraph.
Erasmus’s First Attempt at the Computer
After a drawing by Albrecht Durer, this scene finely carved from lime wood shows the 16th Century Dutch scholar Erasmus struggling to master his laptop in a modern mismatch of period and technology.
